OE-Core commit 5711e0cf88fac0de8a5317b16a287b335c827c8f added a shell script called "wired-setup", which parses the kernel command line in order to find the machine's IPv4 address. This address get's inserted into "wired.config". However, "wired-setup" gets called from connman's initscript, which isn't used when systemd is running.
