multiple-images-dialogs.png

Steps to reproduce:

1. Launch Hob
2. Click the 'Images' button
3. Click the 'Images' button again

Outcome: you have now 2 'Open My Images' dialogs. You can keep on clicking on the 'Images' button and keep on opening dialogs.

Expected outcome: only one 'Open My Images' dialog should be open at any given time. That dialog should be modal (i.e. I should not be able to interact with Hob until the dialog is dismissed either by canceling or opening an image), since that is the standard behaviour of 'Open' options.

Hello,

After investigating and trying different approaches, i finally got to an ambiguous behavior of the GTK. So, when searching on this particular problem, seems like there is a bug in the GTK lib, spotted by many others. I will point you to the link that confirmed me there is actually a bug in the GTK and i am going to set this bug to WONT FIX status until this issue is fixed.

Didn't realise this was Ubuntu only: it does work as expected on Fedora 17, and removing overlay-scrollbar and liboverlay-scrollbar* packages does fix the problem.
