We need to have Wayland support in some toolkits - GTK+ 3 is the easiest as there is upstream support in 3.8 which is just an upgrade away. Qt5 has Wayland support, but that's in progress and not a simple upgrade.
I was being harassed about the lack of gtk+ 3.8 so I pulled together a few branches I'd been neglecting and almost have this done for GTK+ 3.8.
ross/wayland has gtk+ 3.8, and a weston image that boots to weston on DRM with gtk3-demo.
GTK+ 3.8 has wayland support in master now. Qt5 is still out of tree and doesn't have Wayland support yet - I'll ping Martin and see if he plans to enable it.
meta-qt5 has functional Wayland support.
Summary: * GTK+ in oe-core * Qt5 in meta-qt5 * SDL appears to have stalled upstream, so nothing to merge there * Clutter in progress (poky-contrib:ross/wayland)
Clutter posted. When that merged, this can be closed.
Clutter support merged, closing.
