Currently AB builds multilib enabled images with rpm/deb/ipk packages so with rpm as package manager. As multilib and postinstalls are a tricky thing it's useful to build images with opkg as package manager.

Initial support to build images with other package types has been merged to AB, all we need is to actualy add the builds.. coming soon.
