Description Paul Eggleton 2013-05-30 16:52:27 UTC
Given how easy it is to build x32 images now it would be useful to do some performance analysis of the x32 ABI vs x86-64 on the same hardware, and produce a document presenting the results.

So I guess the ultimate conclusion for this bug is some documentation that shows the performance comparisons. I don't have that data so I am marking this as NEEDINFO.

Please let me know when we get some information for it and I will work it into the documentation.

Possibly some QA resources could be used to do this?

Setting target to "Future"
Comment 4 Richard Purdie 2014-05-29 15:11:31 UTC
Alex: Reassigning this to you to figure out what kind of comparison we could do as part of the other runtime benchmark work and to get the actual data.

Once you have some data, Scott will be able to find somewhere we can share it.

We don't publish performance data like this so its not something we plan to do.
