Git rev: master/8a186a6b3853fc1a7dcf342d421c8926c38949c9 Host environment: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS (64 bit) Steps: $ cd documentation $ make DOC=kernel-manual make: Nothing to be done for `all'.
Not sure if this is really a bug or not. But, I did some investigation and discovered some related stuff that needed to be cleaned up for the under-development (1.5) set of manuals. * The README file was out-of-date for the documentation folder. I updated this file to reflect the current set of YP manuals, which does not include the old kernel architecture manual (kernel-manual). This manual was deprecated for the 1.4 release forward. I have symlinks available in the yoctproject server that will correctly resolve any attempted links (old ones that might by laying around as a result of Internet searches) to go to the new kernel manual, which is in kernel-dev. * I scrubbed the mega-manual.sed file, which is a file that processes <ulink> tags in the mega-manual so that they resolve to within the mega-manual and do not attempt to create links outside of that manual. * Fixed a link in the stock note at the introduction of the new kernel-dev manual that alerts readers to the possible delta between the HTML manual on the website and that which is built from the poky/documentations structure. This link had been overlooked and was attempting to resolve to the old kernel-manual file. Now back to this bug, which is filed because of the inability to build kernel-manual for 1.5. The make file does not support building this target by design. That manual is no longer going to be part of the documentation set. I have taken steps to actually remove the kernel-manual folder from the master branch of the yocto-docs repository. The commit I listed up in the URL section of this bug shows that change. I am marking this bug fixed at this point. Scott
