Steps to reproduce: 1. launch hob 2. select for example qemux86 3. select poky-tiny distro from "Advanced configuration" 4. select a base image, for example core-image-minimal 4. select another machine, for example qemuarm The base image previously chosen is still selected and the "Build image" button is missing.
I have tested on a local branch with the templates functionality (which is in review now) and it works. I have made some changes on the list of images. I will wait those patches to be merged and then see if it is reproducing again. Cristiana
This brings up a whole lot of questions I hadn't thought of: * Should we provide the "Edit base image" option when poky-tiny is selected as distro? * Should we allow users to build their custom base images when poky-tiny is selected as distro? Also, what happens if I select poky-tiny while a base image not compatible with it (such as core-image-sato) is selected? Like so: 1. Select a machine 2. Select core-image-sato 3. Change distro to poky-tiny Right now, in master, once recipe parsing finishes core-image-minimal appears selected. This is not ideal: we should probably just clear the base image selection whenever recipe parsing happens. Belen
Darren, We need to fix it in underneath yocto via a blacklist mechanism to list the doesn't make sense base images for hob to use. What do you think? THanks Jessica
Hi Jessica, This bug is a graphical interface issue. The issue with blacklisting the images that doesn't make sense is already resolved. Here is the patch that fixes this: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=a0a265e352b074b54928cf50563561c92aa2f814 Cristiana (In reply to comment #3) > Darren, > > We need to fix it in underneath yocto via a blacklist mechanism to list the > doesn't make sense base images for hob to use.
