The kernel name has changed lately [1] which is causing a kernel image name a bit different. That causes a break for CIs which are trying to archive the kernel image for later reuse, or any other useful scripts working with it. It is also a bit silly by default that double dash ("--") is used like uImage--3.2.1.... According to the change below, this seems to be related to the "PE" epoch variable. This regression happened to me from denzil to dylan, so I am proposing to extend the migration notes [2] with this. It seems the module name has also changed, modules--3.2.1-r2-foo-20130829152142.tgz. It contains the "date" field which has not been there before. This also goes undocumented. Seems I will be busy today with fixing CI issues. :'(
I have updated the "Migration" chapter in the reference manual to include a new section that describes this change in Linux kernel binary filenames. I am marking the bug as "in review". Let me know of any issues. Thanks, Scott http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/1.5/ref-manual/ref-manual.html#1.3-linux-kernel-naming
The documentation part is OK for me, thanks.
Thanks Laszlo.
