Description Robert Yang 2013-11-19 08:20:34 UTC
When we have the SSTATE_DIR or SSTATE_MIRRORS, we may need to build it from source rather than mirrored, this is useful for development and testing. Currently, we can run do_cleansstate or disable the SSTATE_MIRRORS temporally, but this is not easy enough, it would be better if we have something like:

bitbake recipe -cno_mirror (or no_sstate/build_from_source, etc.)

Then it will build from source.
Comment 1 Paul Eggleton 2013-11-20 12:15:47 UTC
Forcing with -f or -C should already be able to accomplish this - because it randomly taints the signatures, sstate packages won't be re-used.
Comment 2 Richard Purdie 2013-11-21 15:42:45 UTC
There is the --no-setscene option to bitbake for this so the functionality already exists.
