Building 'm4' for all package types, the following package names result: m4-1.4.17-r0.x86_64.rpm m4_1.4.17-r0_x86-64.deb m4_1.4.17-r0_x86_64.ipk All 3 are different from each other. There should be an universal package naming format.
This is necessary for automating some builtime tests with oe-selftest.
I'm fairly sure this is expected, although Richard comments that the deb naming might be broken and nobody noticed. I'd like to get an idea of what we're trying to do with the test and see if there is a different way of handling the situation than knowing the output file name format.
I looked more into this and the package naming conventions ofr these formats are as follow: rpm: name-version-release.architecture.rpm deb: <foo>_<VersionNumber>-<DebianRevisionNumber>_<DebianArchitecture>.deb ipk: name_major.minor-wrt<revision>_arch.ipk This means the naming is correct. Marking as NOTABUG.
