Description Joshua Lock - Disabled 2010-12-02 03:58:41 UTC
It's a pain to have to scroll through each of the comments on a bug and then scroll to the top again to enter a comment.

I feel it makes for a more usable Bugzilla if the comment text entry follows the existing comments

You can directly click "reply" in either of comments.

Is this what you wanted?
Comment 2 Joshua Lock - Disabled 2010-12-03 05:03:15 UTC
My issue with that is that a 'reply' inserts the text from the comment you are replying to, sometimes I don't want to do that. I also can't read the previous comments easily as the text entry is towards the top of the page.

I meant something more like gnome's bugzilla where they have moved the comment entry in the page structure such that it follows the existing comments.

See, https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=522199, for example.

Josh,

I don't know how to do this modification, without changing bugzilla template (source). If you really want to do that, we need to wait for sysadmin onboard.

An easy workaround is to click "reply" and remove all inserted text. Do you agree?
Comment 4 Joshua Lock - Disabled 2010-12-06 05:12:10 UTC
Yes, the workaround is easy enough.
Comment 5 Joshua Lock - Disabled 2010-12-13 03:36:22 UTC
We've agreed to the workaround
