Description Paul Eggleton 2013-11-29 18:19:25 UTC
Add the ability to export the tests so that they can run independently of
the build system, as is required if you want to be able to hand the test
execution off to a scheduler. testimage and associated code will still be in charge of exporting the tests, but it would allow a test server to manage the
deployment, execution and results collection and not block the autobuilder waiting for this to complete.

Given that some of the test code needs to query variable values, we'd have to have a way to export static values for these, and then the exported values would be read instead when the test code was run externally.

Setting this to verified. I was able to run the image_tests on real HW, therefore the feature is verified.

Alex, just to check - did you export the tests with TEST_EXPORT_ONLY = "1" and then run the scripts separately to verify this one?
Comment 4 Stefan Stanacar 2014-04-03 09:43:42 UTC
Alex, I think you meant to verify #5554, this feature is something totally different.
