The Q4 release of the Intel Linux Graphics stack is out. And it need to be supported in the Yocto Project. Details of the release are here: https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads/2013/2013q4-intel-graphics-stack-release Linux Kernel - 3.12.2 Mesa - 10.0 xf86-video-intel - 2.99.906 Libdrm - 2.4.49 Libva - 1.2.1 vaapi intel-driver - 1.2.2 Cairo - 1.12.16 Xserver Xorg - 1.14.5 Intel-gpu-tools - 1.5
ALl the recipes except mesa have been updated here. If Mesa gets updated to 10+ version, then we will have all the components to declare the 2013Q4 Intel Graphics Stack support.
Assigning this to Mesa maintainer. Do you think we could do it for 1.6 (even though it's a bit late for this kind of upgrades...)?
Shouldn't be hard. I've started the upgrade. I'll write the status here by the end of the day.
I've tested mesa_10.0.4 on genericx86 (core-image-sato and core-image-weston) and qemux86 (core-image-sato) and works. Now the local autobuilder is running. If nothing fails I'll send an email to Richard with the upgrade (hope it will merge it).
Agreed with Ross and Richard we should move this to 1.7 (since the upgrade is not trivial).
The upgrade patch for mesa is merged: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=0db73b47ea24d4dbd80058eb9e9466a941de5bb4. I'm closing this.
