eclipse-poky-kepler c73c6e4510c42601854f3c542ca6e14b4510380c
HOST: Ubuntu 13.10 64bit

This happens on both kepler and juno versions.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Perform a headless build for eclipse
2. Install eclipse plugin
3. Open Eclipse and switch to bitbake commander perspective on the right corner of Eclipse window.
4. Create a new BitBake commander project:
4.1 File -> New -> Project ->Yocto Bitbake Commander -> New Yocto Project
4.2 Input the Project Name that doesn't overlap to another project name
4.3 For Kepler, set Remote Service Provider to Local and Connection Name to Local
4.4 Set Project Location as the current workspace folder
4.5 Check "Clone from Yocto Project Git Repository into new location"

ACTUAL RESULT
An error message saying that the current location overlaps another project with the same name (as seen in the attachment)

This is due to upstream project restrictions.

Scott,

Can you add a note for bitbake commander project choose the location other than the eclipse workspace location? thx.

Jessica,

This fix is in both the dora and master branches of yocto-docs repository. So it will be part of 1.5.2 and 1.6. You can see the fix at:

http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/1.5.1/dev-manual/dev-manual.html#creating-the-yocto-bitbake-commander-project

http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/1.6/dev-manual/dev-manual.html#creating-the-yocto-bitbake-commander-project

I have set the "Documentation Change" flag to "Done"
