When you visit a page with a table for the first time, all columns in the table are visible, irrespective of the selection in Edit Columns. If you change the column selections in "Edit columns", then the columns visibility matches the checkbox selections. A little background: This commit: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky-contrib/commit/bitbake/lib/toaster/toastergui/templates/basetable_top.html?h=toaster/master&id=b0b1acbe623c1c126af2abc1cc332d993dcaf15c adds persistence to table column visibility by saving the columns visibility status to a cookie. But when you visit the page for the first time, the cookie is not present and hence all the columns are displayed. When you change the selection in the Edit columns, the cookie is set and thus the columns visibility matches the checkbox selection.
Hi, I can't actually reproduce this bug. I've tried Firefox and Chrome browsers. What I see is: - delete all the cookies in the browser - open page - only the show-default columns are shown. (For Packages table, I see Package, Package version, Recipe and Size). - click "Edit"; I see that checked columns are consistent with the columns actually displayed. As I understand, this is the way it is supposed to work. If you still see it on top of: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky-contrib/commit/?h=toaster/master&id=890c87787eaa8cf07577d33d109d207c02691ae4 please reopen this bug.
This is also working for me in that toaster/master commit.
