Description Jonathan Liu 2014-02-17 09:16:37 UTC
After the switch to the new Python rootfs/image creation routines, the IMAGE_FSTYPES dependency handling is broken.

The commands for each image type are executed in parallel while the dependency handling assumes they are executed sequentially. This can be seen in meta/lib/oe/image.py, where the addtypedepends function just reorders IMAGE_FSTYPES such that the dependent images are generated first.

As a result, generating an SD card image using meta-raspberrypi or meta-sunxi for example often results in a corrupt image as the rootfs image is copied into the SD card image while the rootfs image is still being generated.
