Description Stoicescu Cornel 2014-02-18 10:11:56 UTC
STATUS: PASSED
BUILD: 1.6_M3_RC1:b70a10ca3ee4a0add90d387e2c8288e531aaa47c
ENVIRONMENT: MinnowBoard
STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. copy sample wav file to system
2. launch music player can play the wav file

EXPECTED OUTCOME: wav file can be played without problem

ACTUAL RESULTS: .wav file can be played but an issue can be observed in dmesg log:

[ 154.993132] hda-intel: Invalid position buffer, using LPIB read method instead.
[ 154.993212] hda-intel: IRQ timing workaround is activated for card #0. Suggest a bigger bdl_pos_adj.
Comment 1 Darren Hart 2014-02-18 16:43:13 UTC
I suspect this has something to do with the VERB table provided by firmware as the driver reads that for configuration data. Some additional investigation is warranted though. Marking as low priority as the audio does play.
Comment 2 Randy MacLeod 2019-06-13 15:23:14 UTC
The hardware is no longer supported.
