I have tried on latest poky master (3a78838d4f1db75d06b5d3df042638f34cf328f5), there is no build failure. I can successfully build poky-image-sato, then "bitbake gnome-desktop".

Is this log came from world build?

The log is http://autobuilder.pokylinux.org:8010/builders/nightly-release/builds/146/steps/shell_70/logs/stdio

Looks this issue is autobuilder-specific??? I also can't reproduce the issue locally.
I noticed the bug yesterday when I checked nightly logs: there were a bundle of build failurs and gnome-desktop was a cause.

The fix is in master now:
http://git.pokylinux.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=e8017dc3cbfc40a03d47ed170518726075937bd3

Since the bug now only happens on autobuilder and I need to wait several hours for the nightly meta-toolchian-sdk build logs, I can only mark the bug as RESOLVED in several hours today.

VERIFY it.
