Description Ionut Chisanovici 2014-02-25 11:02:56 UTC
Hi,

In sato images we should give users the possibility to setup/configure DNS and proxy in Connman GUI application exactly like we give them the possibility to configure static IP addresses.

For the moment the DNS/proxy can only be configured using "connmanctl config --nameservers/--proxy" cli command.

Cheers,
Ionut C

Moving to Jussi as he owns Sato now. It's possible the new connman UI does this already.

FWIW the connman change in bug 8606 might solve this.

connman-gtk supports this feature:

Updated version of connman-gtk available here:

http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit.cgi/poky-contrib/commit/?h=maxin/connman-gtk&id=f6a2114793fdcad1009bf6c1da6bd5cc70596f1f

Known limitations:
1. Relaunching from status icon doesn't work in core-image-sato.

As this will be solved by 8606, marking as a duplicate.
