Description Randy MacLeod 2014-02-26 20:38:16 UTC
To keep up with the binary updates of other Linux distros, delta package updates as described here:
   http://www.linuxforu.com/2010/09/exploring-software-delta-packages-speed-up-updates-by-downloading-less/

should be supported in oe-core.

The courgette compression from the Google Chrome team seems best but even strict binary deltas would be good.

This enhancement can be dropped.
OSTree (https://ostree.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ ) and other technologies can be used to manage systems and minimize download image sizes.

If there's a different use case that someone has, please re-open the enhancement.
