Description Jonathan Liu 2014-04-10 08:20:38 UTC
Having read-only-rootfs in IMAGE_FEATURES is only working for sysvinit.
If using systemd, the root filesystem is still mounted read/write in /etc/fstab.
Comment 1 Jonathan Liu 2014-04-14 02:35:52 UTC
There has been some interesting work done for readonly rootfs with systemd:

Comment 2 Saul Wold 2014-10-30 15:23:32 UTC
There are still some patches possibly pending on the list or other outstanding issues, not yet patched, can either the assignee or reporter better enumerate what's missing.
Comment 3 Chen Qi 2014-10-31 03:18:31 UTC
[OE-core] [PATCH 1/1] image.bbclass: avoid boot error on read-only systemd image

Once this patch is merged, we can close this bug.
