There is the qemu-system-ppc, that is what is used by the poky-qemu script, is there a reason you are trying to run qemu-ppc directly, as you should be using the poky-qemu script. Please comment on this.
reply to comment3: It is happend when do the sanity test of toolchain (case TC-320 and TC-321): TC-320 Step 3 : run "test" with qemu-${ARCH} and check the output TC-321 Step 3 : run "test" with qemu-${ARCH} and check the output from sanity tests on qemumips and qemuarms, both command qemu-mips and qemu-arm exists. and from ubuntu itself can build qemu-ppc package manually successful. If this is not the problem , I will close this defect. TC-320 and TC-321 description below (pls refer it, and if the case is invalid pls tell me): TC-320 : g++ from sdk toolchain can build c program and run with qemu-${ARCH} command 1. Install toolchain tarball and setup cross compile environment 2. compile program test.c "${CXX} test.c -o test -cc++ -lm" 3. run "test" with qemu-${ARCH} and check the output TC-321 : gcc from sdk toolchain can build c program and run with qemu-${ARCH} command 1. Install toolchain tarball and setup cross compile environment 2. compile program test.c "${CC} test.c -o test -cc -lm" 3. run "test" with qemu-${ARCH} and check the output thanks.

Hi LiLiang, I think the "qemu-ppc" should come from native host, not from toolchain tarball. Could you make sure you have qemu-kvm-extras installed and try again?

Could you make sure you have qemu-kvm-extras installed and try again? Hi , The "qemu-ppc" command is not installed default on ubuntu 10.10, by command "sudo apt-get install qemu-kvm-extras" can install the "qemu-ppc" command , use the command, these two cases passed. liang li

So could I mark the bug as INVALID? okay, thanks.
Mark the bug as INVALID becasue qemu-${ARCH} command should come from native, not toolchain tarball.
Verify it.
