Created attachment 1951 [details] qemu-native_log.do_compile Hi, For 1.4.4 qemu_1.4.0.bb, do_compile task failed only on OpenSuse 13.1 dirsto. Attached the do_compile log. From the log, the actual error is: CC ppc-linux-user/target-ppc/mmu_helper.o {standard input}: Assembler messages: {standard input}:52584: Warning: end of file not at end of a line; newline inserted {standard input}:53308: Error: expecting operand after ','; got nothing {standard input}: Error: open CFI at the end of file; missing .cfi_endproc directive {standard input}: Assembler messages: {standard input}:52624: Warning: end of file not at end of a line; newline inserted {standard input}:54439: Error: unbalanced parenthesis in operand 2. {standard input}: Error: open CFI at the end of file; missing .cfi_endproc directive gcc: internal compiler error: Killed (program cc1) gcc: internal compiler error: Killed (program cc1) The compiler should not ICE, and this is the native compiler. Either: a) There's a problem with the hardware, or b) There's a compiler bug which needs to be fixed upstream (in OpenSUSE 13.1). Either way, it's likely not a bug we can fix in our code. The best we could do is check and report the issue upstream. We should note it in the 1.4.4 release notes though.
