The grub package for x86-64 contains the grub-sparc64-setup file. I neither see a reason for that, nor do I see this file in other x86-64 Linux installation of different distributions.
For more details. There is a file named grub-sparc64-setup packaged, which is actually a x86_64 file. Note that, it is not a sparc binary. I also checked how other distros handle this case, and I find fedora 20 do provide this file in the grub2-tools rpm. rpm -qpl grub2-tools-2.00-26.fc20.x86_64.rpm | grep sparc /usr/sbin/grub2-sparc64-setup I am preparing a patch to avoid building of the grub-sparc64-setup files. I am not much familiar with this part of the code, but I guess it may be used to prepare a bootable disk for sparc64 system from an x86 platform. So it is not really relevant for the x86 BSPs functionality, and can be dropped from the x86 builds of the grub-2.
Sent a fix for this to the oecore mailing list.
