Was this on fri2 or fri2-noemgd? Which gstreamer plugins are installed? Which image was tested?
Comment 2 Ionut Chisanovici 2014-06-17 14:12:38 UTC
Hi Darren,

This is happening on the fri2 core-image-sato-sdk image which was built by the AB (not the one with noemgd).
I don't know if the gstreamer plugins were installed or not.
This is the image: http://yocto-ab-master.jf.intel.com/pub/nightly-meta-intel/20140612-1/machines/fri2/fri2/core-image-sato-sdk-fri2.hddimg

Thanks Ionut. You can use the package manager to check, either rpm or opkg typically.

Do you know if this is a regression or a failed new test?
Comment 4 Ionut Chisanovici 2014-06-17 14:44:10 UTC
Darren, this is a new bug, I really don't know why it appears just now.
The strange thing is that the ogg/ogv files are played and the video image can be seen from the music player but not from the video player.

Cheers,
Ionut C

That bit of information tells me this is not a BSP-specific issue, but rather an issue with the music player. Moving to sato.
Comment 6 Darren Hart 2014-06-17 15:17:42 UTC
Ross, is this your domain?
Comment 7 Ross Burton 2014-06-17 16:05:42 UTC
The video player is *expletive censored*, in particular it assumes it knows how to display video on the screen when it clearly doesn't.
