After being tested on different type of hosts (fedora i686, fedora x86-64, UBUNTU x86-64), we can draw a conclusion that this error only happens on 32-bit OS host, but on x86-64 OS type host there's no such issue.
To be exact, it failed on Fedora20 i686 host, Cent OS 6.5 i686 edition host. If you want to reproduce this problem you can try on these types of machine or other kind of 32-bit OS.
This appears to be because there are no *cross-canadian-x86_64 packages in http://adtrepo-dev.yoctoproject.org//1.5.3-dc743744d8e3a9caef577aeab6b7f51bc08ded17-dora/adt-ipk/i686-nativesdk/ Looks like a duplicate of 6536 Beth: Can you have a look at this please for the 1.5.3 release?
Looking at it now. Yes, it was part of 6536.
I've added the missing items and rebuild the package index. Could you check again?

This should work now. Please check it with: http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/releases/yocto-1.5.3.rc1/adt-installer
Tested with the installer in http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/releases/yocto-1.5.3.rc1/adt-installer but the error message is the same as previous one. Tested on Fedora20 i686 and CentOS 6.5 i686 host.
Hi Beth, Can you try it before sending it to QA just to avoid this ping/pong that is happening for some time? Thanks, Alex.
I have tried it. I don't seem to be hitting the same issue. Let me see if I can replicate this.
Created attachment 2069 [details] Beth's adt_installer.conf that works This works on my machine.
Could you please post your adt_installer.conf so I can see if I can replicate this?
Created attachment 2070 [details] Ke's adt conf file (1.5.3)
Beth, I've uploaded my conf file .Basically it's the same except for some local PATH. What kind of host/OS are you using when you're trying to replicate this? From my side it only happens on 32-bit OS such as Fedora20 i686
OK, this is a bit odd and I'm on vacation this week so I don't have access to my 32 bit machine. I rebuilt last night to see if we had any major differences in files: > ./mips32/libdrm-doc_2.4.46-r0_mips32.ipk 46696d46695 > ./ppc7400/libdrm-doc_2.4.46-r0_ppc7400.ipk 56620a56621 > ./ppce300c3/libdrm-doc_2.4.46-r0_ppce300c3.ipk 62963d62963 < ./ppce500v2/libdrm-doc_2.4.46-r0_ppce500v2.ipk 71843a71844 > ./x86_64/libdrm-doc_2.4.46-r0_x86_64.ipk 72545a72547 > ./x86_64/librsvg-2-doc_2.32.1-r12_x86_64.ipk None of these would explain what we're seeing though. I've checked the i686-nativesdk dir and the cross-canadian ipks are there. Could you check with this adt-installer and let me know the results? http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20140805-1/adt-installer-QA/
Hi Beth The adt-installer under http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20140805-1/adt-installer-QA/ works on my Fedora20 i686 host now. This is really odd because I could see the cross-canadian and other related ipks in repo as well.
Marking resolved as this functions now.
