It would be nice to have this feature similarly to "rm_work". The idea is that it would be very useful for git clones when using AUTOREV, but even when it is not autorev'd. Otherwise, the CI machine and even local machines can collect some clutter that needs to be taken care of manually as of today.

Cleanup of stale workdir directories is now included in http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=ccb2d1b481c0fba69c06a0c0f2553e2a45ee937a so between that and the class referenced in this bug, I believe the issue is resolved.
