Description Costin 2014-12-02 13:18:33 UTC
Hello,

While performing tests for 1.5.4 RC1, I noticed that renaming downloaded file is not working. This applies to "TC 171 - Rename downloaded file".

TC content:
"
1.Edit the grep recipe (grep*.bb)
2.Edit the line below by modifying the value of "downloadfilename" variable into "test.tar.gz" as presented below:
  (mcedit ../meta/recipes-extended/grep/grep_2.16.bb)

SRC_URI = "${GNU_MIRROR}/grep/grep-${PV}.tar.gz;downloadfilename=test.tar.gz"

3.Run "bitbake -c fetch grep" which will download the grep package.
4.Run "ls build/downloads | grep test" and you should be provided with the following two files as result:
test.tar.gz
test.tar.gz.done
"

Runtime and post execution:

Build Configuration:
BB_VERSION        = "1.20.0"
BUILD_SYS         = "x86_64-linux"
NATIVELSBSTRING   = "Ubuntu-14.10"
TARGET_SYS        = "i586-poky-linux"
MACHINE           = "qemux86"
DISTRO            = "poky"
DISTRO_VERSION    = "1.5.4"
TUNE_FEATURES     = "m32 i586"
TARGET_FPU        = ""
meta
meta-yocto
meta-yocto-bsp    = "(detachedfromde14d21):de14d21bc6633ddeb810cef051b91ee322276496"

...

cosscat@ubnt:/media/poky/3poky/build$ cd downloads/
cosscat@ubnt:/media/poky/3poky/build/downloads$ ls
grep-2.14.tar.xz  grep-2.14.tar.xz.done

Hello,

I also tested this on a Fedora 20 and same behaviour.

This isn't being reported from usage in the wild and works in later releases so marking as WONTFIX.
