Hello,

Did tests for the music player using regular .ogg files alongside mp3 ones, but it does not play anything.

Image was downloaded from autobuilder: core-image-sato-sdk-genericx86.hddimg

Hardware used: Lenovo S10-3 (Intel Atom N455 @1.66 GHz CPU)

audiosinc error
Comment 2 Lucian Musat 2015-01-21 15:05:35 UTC
Might be an audio problem. Got the same issue on generic x86_64, lenovo x220 sugarbay hardware. Audio player does not play wav files and video player shows an error when trying to play ogg files.
Comment 3 Nitin Kamble 2015-01-21 15:32:22 UTC
Is it able to play any audio? I am wondering weather it file format support issue vs audio backend issue?

Comment 4 Lucian Musat 2015-01-21 16:26:46 UTC
I am not able to play any audio but I did manage to find these messages in boot and dmesg logs:

boot:Wed Oct 5 03:31:51 2016: /usr/sbin/alsactl: load_state:1729: No soundcards found...

dmesg: [ 0.195682] Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Initialized.
dmesg: [ 1.489113] No soundcards found.

What is the output of lsmod? Is the snd-hda-intel kernel module loaded? if not, can you try loading it with "modprobe snd-hda-intel" command?

As I do not have the hardware here, I am passing the bug back to you.
Comment 8 Lucian Musat 2015-02-02 11:38:01 UTC
Retested this in the latest master and genericx86-64 image (lenovo x220 hardware) and it's working now. Interestingly the same messages appear in logs but the sound works.
Comment 9 Costin 2015-02-02 11:51:15 UTC
Hello,

Just retested on latest master on Lenovo S10-3 and the issue is solved. I have no audio related error messages.

Costin
