build appliance path: http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/releases/yocto-1.8_M2.rc1/build-appliance/ test step: Download build appliance image from location above to a linux host (in my case it's UBUNTU14 x86-64 host) Boot the image in VMWare Player Build qemuarm core-image-minimal Click "run image" button, Or using terminal to run image under ....poky/build/tmp/deploy/images/qemuarm Command: runqemu qemuarm Here's the error log: sh-4.3$ runqemu qemuarm TUN control device /dev/net/tun is unavaliable; you may need to enable tun
Investigation started.
I think this bug related with bug 7238 comment 3 The modules.dep is empty in BA, and there is no /dev/net/tun device. After I ran "depmod -a" and reboot. the /dev/net/tun is created.
