Description Paul Eggleton 2015-02-03 17:32:56 UTC
python-pexpect is needed by the automated runtime test code (e.g. meta-yocto-bsp/lib/oeqa/controllers/grubtarget.py). Thus we need this in buildtools for those that are using that on their build machines. Luckily there is already a python-pexpect recipe in meta-python that we can pull in:

http://cgit.openembedded.org/cgit.cgi/meta-openembedded/tree/meta-python/recipes-devtools/python/python-pexpect_2.3.bb?h=master

It doesn't currently have BBCLASSEXTEND = "nativesdk" so that will need to be added, then we need to add nativesdk-python-pexpect to TOOLCHAIN_HOST_TASK in the buildtools-tarball recipe.
