Hi, For QA Issues errors and warnings, toaster should recognize the error and provide suggestions to the user on how the error can be repaired. Ex: In a toaster project if the project release was set to "Local Yocto Project" and there were one or more builds done, then if the user changes the project release to "Yocto Project 1.7 Dizzy" and the user starts doing a build, then the build is starting successfully but it fails due errors like below: QA Issue: Package version for package linux-libc-headers-dev went backwards which would break package feeds from (0:3.17.7-r0 to 0:3.16-r0) [version-going-backwards] This issue appears when a newest version of yocto/poky was used to build and then user try to build something using an older version: build on master then build on older version (dizzy). Cheers, Ionut C
This is a very general statement, part of the ongoing approach with Toaster. We need to split this umbrella bug in specific bugs for each type of error message we want to tackle.
FYI I had Scott add permalinks to error resolution information in the manual which Toaster can use when this gets implemented e.g.: http://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/1.7/ref-manual/ref-manual.html#qa-issue-file-rdeps
