Description Lianhao Lu 2011-02-17 00:40:00 UTC
When running the libtoolize from the package of libtool-nativesdk, it reported the following error:
/opt/poky/0.9+snapshot/sysroots/x86_64-pokysdk-linux/usr/bin/libtoolize: line 393: /usr/bin/sed: No such file or directory.

It turns out that the libtoolize generated by "bitbake libtool-nativesdk" is using the path of the building machine for utilities such as sed, grep. If the host machine on which the libtool-nativesdk gets installed have such utilities in a different path, it would fail.

Which distro are you running on ?
Comment 2 Nitin Kamble 2011-02-18 08:59:49 UTC
Also can you give me exact steps to reproduce it ?
Comment 3 Lianhao Lu 2011-02-20 22:04:27 UTC
To reproduce this:

1. get a meta-toolchain tarball for i586 from auto builder.
2. extract the tarball to /
3. source the environment file
4. run libtoolize or check the libtoolize script for whether it is using the absolute path for sed, grep, etc.
