Description Paul Eggleton 2015-04-09 13:36:33 UTC
We need to tailor the output of bitbake during devtool build - right now what you see is the normal bitbake output which is great for a full build with lots of tasks, but for the devtool context where we know we are building a single recipe, especially when running within the extensible SDK, it isn't all that useful. Basic ideas:

* Possibly condense the preamble before building (at least by default) - most of this is static when building as part of the SDK and thus superfluous.

* Default to verbose build output so you can see compilation warnings / errors easily - this may require further tweaking so that the output is useful.

We'll want to consider what we present to the user when the build succeeds and when it fails.

Please load a bug for the work that needs to be done for Knotty and mark this as dependent of it.
