Description Scott Garman 2011-02-25 15:24:40 UTC
Performing a build of linuxdoc-tools-native on a host system which has latex installed results in the following error in do_install:

Building latex docs
Processing file ./guide
fmt_latex2e::postASP: LaTeX first run problem. Aborting ...

Also, if the host OS does not have latex installed but has dvips installed, do_install will similarly fail with the following error:

+ dvips
This is dvips(k) 5.96.1 Copyright 2007 Radical Eye Software (www.radicaleye.com)
dvips: ! DVI file can't be opened.

These errors do not occur on host systems which don't have these utilities installed.

Eventually we will include latex and dvips in native recipes. But for now the immediate fix is to disable these parts of the build.

I have a fix prepared and will mark this bug fixed once it reaches master.

Verified this fix works on systems that have or do not have latex installed.
