When downloading a tar.gz file of poky/ tree, the toasterconf.json that is embedded is not longer adequate. 

This happens because the file references its hosting GIT, which is no longer available if the GIT information gets stripped during tar.gz packaging process.

The expected behavior is that the toasterconf.json gets edited by the infrastructure creating the tarballs and the relative GIT references are replaced with absolute GIT repository URL for the poky tree.

This appears to have been fixed at some time in the past because the links in toasterconf.json for the 2.1 (krogoth) release all appear to point to git.openembedded.org.

Would you please check and see if this is still an issue?
