Description Pascal Bach 2015-10-07 11:52:55 UTC
Created attachment 2789 [details]
a proposed soultion for 2.

The documentation suggests to use the following command to get all GPL sources:

$ cd poky/build/tmp/deploy/sources
$ mkdir ~/gpl_source_release
$ for dir in */*GPL*; do cp -r $dir ~/gpl_source_release; done

For this to work the archiver would have to create a subfolder per license under deploy/sources/.

However in reallity the sources are in a folder named afer the package name and the version directly under deploy/sources/

So eigher:
1. the documentation should be changed
2. or the archiver.bbclass should be adjusted (preferred).
Comment 1 Pascal Bach 2015-10-29 13:44:40 UTC
Will this make it into 2.0?
Comment 2 Ross Burton 2015-11-05 16:05:34 UTC
Sadly not, sorry.
Comment 3 Pascal Bach 2018-05-25 07:56:35 UTC
What is the process of getting this patch accepted? Should I send it to the mailing list?
Comment 4 Ross Burton 2018-05-25 08:27:06 UTC
Yes, please submit it to the list.
Comment 5 Pascal Bach 2018-05-25 08:46:08 UTC
The documentation has been updated and it now matches the behavior [1]. So I propose to close this issue.
