The GCC option -mtls-dialect=gnu2 implements the TLS optimizations documented at:

http://www.fsfla.org/~lxoliva/writeups/TLS/RFC-TLSDESC-x86.txt

This is not a normal test situation, and we should verify if when this option is enabled if the prelinker is working properly or if it causes any specific issues.

Some research may be required to identify which architectures have implemented this optimization.
