There are 2 supported Toaster setups: 1. Use poky with meta-yocto/conf/toasterconf.json file 2. Use openembedded + bitbake with the meta/conf/toasterconf.json file Our testing does not currently cover the second setup, but it probably should.
Hi, For test with openembedded-core and bitbake, $ git clone git://git.openembedded.org/openembedded-core $ cd openembedded-core $ git clone git://git.openembedded.org/bitbake $ source oe-init-build-env build $ virtualenv venv $ source venv/bin/activate $ pip install -r ../bitbake/toaster-requirements.txt $ source toaster start And then you could build an image like core-image-minimal and execute the tests over it.
I use the following setup: $ git clone git://git.openembedded.org/openembedded-core $ git clone git://git.openembedded.org/bitbake $ cd openembedded-core $ source ./oe-init-build-env ../build ../bitbake After this I have issues starting toaster. [balister@thuvia build]$ source toaster start bash: /home/balister/src/toaster/bitbake/bin/../../.templateconf: No such file or directory /toasterconf.json configuration file not found. Set TOASTER_CONF to specify file or fix .templateconf I've been guessing at the env vars mentioned, o this may not be exact message on clean checkout.
To cover this requirement I am going to execute the same test suite that already exist for Toaster each test execution cycle. But with the non-poky environment. 2.2 M1 is the first test cycle to execute a test run with the non-poky environment https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/tr_show_run.cgi?run_id=6052
