commit: a33a2cc024f9c9147c92c5da70d8fbb631b968f9

With the n450 image for RC3, on blanksand, when boot up system to X window, the USB and PS2 keyboard/mouse do not work. all X test blocked.

Add "3 psplash=false" in grub to boot on TEXT mode, keyboard and mouse works well.

this is partially related to the config file: /etc/X11/xorg.conf

If add "AutoAddDevices" option as below

Section "ServerFlags"
    Option "DontZap" "0"
    Option "AutoAddDevices" "False"
EndSection

then the keyboard will work. but mouse is not working yet. still under investigation.

Turns out the mouse is actually working, but the cursor is invisible. I notice the keys on the OSD keyboard highlights as I moved the mouse around, and it works on the other widgets as well. This bug looks related:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/508697

But disabling modeset caused X not to start. I tried adding:

Option "SWCursor"

to the device stanza in xorg.conf, but that didn't work either. Still digging.

 else
     SHOWCURSOR="yes"
 fi
+echo "SHOWCURSOR: $SHOWCURSOR"

 matchbox-desktop &

# /etc/init.d/xserver-nodm restart
...
SHOWCURSOR: no
...

Whooops.

Forcing to yes and I have a cursor.

By adding a formfactor machconfig and an xserver-x586-config xorg.conf to the n450 bsp, I have a working keyboard and visible mouse. Those patches have sent to the list for review prior to pushing. You can test them from here:
