In localhostbecontrl we attempt to clone the current checkout rather than fetch it from the internet to speed up the initial build. This can save a reasonable amount of time as it can take a while to download the poky repo. However at the moment if it fails to do this correctly it's fatal e.g. " command: git clone "/var/www/toaster/jethro/bitbake" "/var/www/toaster/jethro/bitbake/_toaster_clones/_git___git.yoctoproject.org_poky_jethro" fatal: repository '/var/www/toaster/jethro/bitbake' does not exist " And the build fails. We should handle this exception and just continue and git clone from the internet instead.
This was fixed via fixing bug #8463 With a commit http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=e35c404537db0b46047fcb2ee7d3645e3e0935c5
