Description lixin.fnst 2015-12-01 02:03:47 UTC
On my platform(x86_64,on jethro branch),
those LSB 17 cases are failed.

/tset/ANSI.os/locale/setlocale/T.setlocale 1 2 4 5 15
/tset/ANSI.os/string/strcoll_X/T.strcoll_X 1
/tset/LI18NUX2K.L1/base/wcscoll/T.wcscoll 1
/tset/LI18NUX2K.L1/utils/localedef/T.localedef 7
/tset/LI18NUX2K.L1/utils/sort/T.sort 1 3 17 19 33 35
/tset/LI18NUX2K.L1/utils/comm/T.comm 1 2
/tset/LI18NUX2K.L1/utils/ls-fh/T.ls-fh 2

And I sent a patch to OE-core to fix this problem.
http://lists.openembedded.org/pipermail/openembedded-core/2015-November/113311.html

But it will lead LTP test case cgroup_fj Failed. The output is as following:
bash: loadlocale.c:130: _nl_intern_locale_data: Assertion `cnt < (sizeof (_nl_value_type_LC_COLLATE) / sizeof (_nl_value_type_LC_COLLATE[0]))' failed.

Assigning back to report since a patch has been posted and will likely be
accepted soon

I bitbake core-image-lsb on branch jethro.and did LSB test.

/22_locale/messages/members/char/2.cc 1
/22_locale/messages/members/char/wrapped_env.cc 1
/22_locale/messages/members/char/wrapped_locale.cc 1 are Failed.

Also this cases are Fail on gcc-5.1 gcc-5.2 gcc-5.3,
but pass on gcc-4.9.

The output is as following:
2.cc:54: void test02(): Assertion `s01 == "s'il vous plat"' failed.

Hi lixin

I have worked on this bug now, can you tell me the failed case on which test? I will just test on it, because the lsb have many tests, if I run them all, it will take a lot of time.

LSB tests

Command tests: command check

Static interface tests: library check

Runtime interface tests:
alsa-t2c tests
core tests
core-t2c tests
......

Thanks!

LSB is now part of the runtime series.

is this an issue in master still?

LSB support had been removed in oe-core:

commit fb064356af615d67d85b65942103bf943d84d290
Author: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de>
Date: Sun Aug 25 20:21:15 2019 +0300

    Remove LSB support

LSB as a standard isn't current and isn't well suited to embedded
anyway. Its putting artifical constraints on the system and with modern
layer technology, would now be better off as its own layer. As such
its time to split it out.

The only part with some (marginal) usage is lsb_release,
which is split from the lsb package into an own lsb-release
    package.
