When building a core-image-x11 (for orangepi-plus using work in progress at https://github.com/O-Computers), without using meta-oe I get a working environment that includes xinit. But after adding the meta-oe layer and just adding the glmark2 package to my image, the result is a non-functional X for lack of xinit, but with xserver-common which comes from meta-oe as well. This naive patch produces a working image, but I guess there may be more things to adjust... diff --git a/meta-oe/recipes-graphics/xserver-common/xserver-common_1.34.bb b/meta-oe/recipes-graphics/xserver-common/xserver-common_1.34.bb index 0315ed7..f06b197 100644 --- a/meta-oe/recipes-graphics/xserver-common/xserver-common_1.34.bb +++ b/meta-oe/recipes-graphics/xserver-common/xserver-common_1.34.bb @@ -38,7 +38,7 @@ do_install_append() { done } -RDEPENDS_${PN} = "xmodmap xrandr xdpyinfo fbset xinput-calibrator" +RDEPENDS_${PN} = "xmodmap xrandr xdpyinfo fbset xinput-calibrator xinit" RCONFLICTS_${PN} = "xserver-kdrive-common x11-common" RREPLACES_${PN} = "xserver-kdrive-common x11-common"
Sorry, but meta-oe doesn't use this bug tracker. Can you please submit this patch to the openembedded-devel@lists.openembedded.org mailing list?
