As Martin Jansa noted on the ML the eudev package is about 6M whereas the udev package was only around 0.5M, this is most likely caused by the fact that eudev includes the /etc/udev/hwdb.d directory and the udev packages splits it into a different package (udev-hwdb), a good solution would be to do the same with eudev.
