Description Clay 2016-03-24 20:03:02 UTC
bitbake fails on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS - fix in bug 5342 points to a broken link

tar: --same-order option cannot be used with -c
Try 'tar --help' or 'tar --usage' for more information.
tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors
ERROR: Function 'sysroot_stage_all' failed (see /home/clayj/Yocto/yocto-build/tmp/work/x86_64-linux/quilt-native-0.48-r0/temp/log.do_populate_sysroot.31617 for further information)

Which version of bitbake and OE/Poky are you trying to use? We test current master on ubuntu 14.04 regularly so this must be a very old version of the metadata?

OK - trying what I think is the latest BSP from Yocto directly and it is past this error.
