Expected behavior
-----------------
Check out Zephyr kernel source. Check out application code into a different folder. Set app project configuration to point to kernel project and build.

Observer behavior
-----------------
App and kernel code must be in same source tree or project will not build.

Fixed by upstream Zephyr. Also works in container https://hub.docker.com/r/crops/zephyr-container/.
