Will be good to have a buildstep or another mechanism for get worker information, like distro, architecture, etc. OE-seltest error reports needs to figure out in what distro is running in order to provide better reports. https://lists.yoctoproject.org/pipermail/yocto/2016-July/031080.html
Should be trivial to implement a buildstep which adds some host OS information to a build property.
(In reply to comment #1) > Should be trivial to implement a buildstep which adds some host OS > information to a build property. This isn't a host info, the buildsetp needs to run some commands in the worker in order to retrive worker info and then set as properties.
A Patch has been submitted to mailing list for the enhancement to add steps to get worker information https://lists.yoctoproject.org/g/yocto/message/49270
Its gone: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=7a5cc8659e4ba8f36bcb5322e246005d812efb59 thanks for pointing it out.
Sorry, wrong bug for the last comment!
Hi Richard, Could you review my patches https://lists.yoctoproject.org/g/yocto/message/49270 this is addStep in AB to retrieve the worker info using native commands on run on each worker - lsb_release - uname Cheers, Aaron
We add the distro, arch, etc info to the test results now. for example, the hostname reflects that: From a while ago: centos7-ty-2.yocto.io centos7-ty-4.yocto.io centos8-ty-1.yocto.io centos8-ty-2.yocto.io centos8-ty-3.yocto.io debian10-ty-1.yocto.io debian10-ty-2.yocto.io debian10-ty-3.yocto.io debian8-ty-1.yocto.io debian9-ty-2.yocto.io fedora31-ty-1.yocto.io fedora32-ty-1.yocto.io fedora33-ty-1.yocto.io opensuse151-ty-1.yocto.io opensuse152-ty-1.yocto.io perf-centos7.yocto.io perf-ubuntu1604.yocto.io tumbleweed-ty-1.yocto.io tumbleweed-ty-2.yocto.io tumbleweed-ty-3.yocto.io ubuntu1604-ty-1.yocto.io ubuntu1804-arm-1.yocto.io ubuntu1804-ty-1.yocto.io ubuntu1804-ty-2.yocto.io ubuntu1804-ty-3.yocto.io ubuntu2004-arm-1.yocto.io ubuntu2004-ty-1.yocto.io ubuntu2004-ty-2.yocto.io
