directfb was added recently to Yocto for the purposes of supporting Qt Embedded. More recently a patch was merged to update directfb to 1.4.12. I'm not sure if this was tested with Qt Embedded and we need to check that it still works.

I tested it on qemuarm by using qt4-demo-image from OE. qt4e can run on directfb.
