If you run devtool add / recipetool create on an npm module you'll get the following warnings: ----------- snip ----------- $ recipetool create "npm://registry.npmjs.org;name=cute-files;version=1.0.2" NOTE: Fetching npm://registry.npmjs.org;name=cute-files;version=1.0.2... WARNING: Missing shrinkwrap file in NPM_SHRINKWRAP for cute-files, this will lead to unreliable builds! WARNING: Missing lockdown file in NPM_LOCKDOWN for cute-files, this will lead to unreproducible builds! ... ----------- snip ----------- These are entirely harmless (NPM_SHRINKWRAP and NPM_LOCKDOWN get calculated subsequently and set in the resulting recipe), and thus we should suppress them in this situation.
