RMC adds to the install. The current solution is to use a slightly modified copy of the installation script in OE-core. This is rather hacky and an initramfs-framework module would be the better solution.

The file deployment in RMCv2 won't rely on INSTALLER.CONFIG. Marking this as future so we can remove the current RMC-specific code from the installer script after RMCv2 is fully functional.

Work on RMC has been discontinued and it is no longer supported.
